A project in practice

Kornr Store

Neighborhood Café + Market · Detroit’s NW Goldberg neighborhood

6224 16th Street, Detroit, MI 48208

Developer. Property owner. Business operator.

I rehabilitated a more than 100-year-old neighborhood market and rebranded it as Kornr Store to provide coffee, food, beverages, and healthy grocery options in Detroit’s NW Goldberg neighborhood.

The mixed-use property includes the café and market, an upstairs apartment, and outdoor space. Kornr Store is one project within my broader real estate career and provides firsthand experience with the transition from development into operations.

Development experience

Working through rehabilitation, financing, project coordination, and opening an operating business.

Operating experience

Managing property and business cash demands, capital needs, and decisions about the asset’s future.
